I keep going over and over your rainy day surprise and learning more with each view BUT how do you unmold that large hunk of soap without it breaking ? Thanks for taking the time to do your tutorial. This new soaper greatly appreciates it
Hiya, Donna... I've neveer had a problem with the big blocks breaking. The molds are wooden ones, and I always line heavily with wax paper. I use my seven inch blade to loosen between the sides of soap and the mold. A smart slap on the bottom spills it out into my hand. I do have to be careful of the peaks though, or they will be smushed. The wax paper peels of the big block of soap no problem once it's out of the mold.
I'm glad you're appreciating, and I'll plan a tutorial on molds soon. Meanwhile, I hope this helps.
