Finding it hard to get off to sleep? Help yourself out naturally with any of these three sleep easy tips:
1) Have a bath. As well as relaxing the muscles, taking a bath promotes sleepiness as the body's temperature first rises, and then falls.
2) Read a book. Curling up with a book is a light activity and is a great prep for sleep. Avoid exercise and emotional issues as these activities cause the release of the stress hormone cortisol, bringing on increased alertness.
3) Cut the caffeine. Avoid caffeine drinks in the last three hours before bedtime. Common drinks for the stimulant caffeine are coffee, chocolate, tea and many sodas.
