It only takes minutes, but it leaves a wonderful feeling of both clean and soft. Used this way, it really does dissolve the dirt and excess oil. My skin is oily all year, moreso in the summertime. I don't use oil on my skin in the summer at all, except for maybe a very light olive oil/water emulsion. In the winter, however, I am experimenting with other things. This sounds like a good option to try.
